Rental Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before booking your vehicle with Jinnah Rent a Car. By placing a booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Terms of Use & Payment:
- Advance Payment: A 100% advance payment is required. 50% is due at the time of booking, and the remaining 50% must be paid before departure.
- Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the advance payment.
- Taxes: All prices on our website are exclusive of tax. Please add 16% service tax and 2% income tax to all listed prices and rates.
- Identification: A copy of your National ID card/Passport is required for all bookings.
2. Vehicle Usage & Responsibility:
- Fuel: The customer must return the vehicle with a full fuel tank at the end of each rental day. Fuel calculations will be determined from our base station (starting from and returning to base).
- Deviations: No deviations are allowed in the agreed route or travel plans once the booking is confirmed.
- Driving: Jinnah Rent a Car offers chauffeur-driven services only. The customer is strictly not permitted to drive the vehicle.
- Passengers: The vehicle’s registered passenger capacity must not be exceeded.
- Illegal Activities: The vehicle must not be used for any illegal purposes whatsoever.
- Weight Capacity: Do not carry passengers or luggage exceeding the vehicle’s rated weight-carrying capacity.
3. Charges & Timing:
- Additional Charges: Extra charges may include the basic rental fee, applicable airport fees, government taxes, parking, and toll taxes. A cleaning fee for excessive stains or dirt in the car’s interior may apply upon return.
- Local Use Timing: Rentals for local use are on a 12-hour basis, up to 12:00 AM. After 12:00 AM, next-day charges apply. Late return charges apply after 15 minutes. An extra full day’s rent is charged if the vehicle is delayed by more than 3 hours.
- Outstation Travel Timing: Hourly charges will apply after 12 hours for local use and 23 hours for outstation travel. Late return charges apply after 15 minutes. An extra full day’s rental is charged if the vehicle is delayed by more than 3 hours.
4. Cancellations & Modifications:
- Early Termination: In case of early termination of the rental period (fewer days than agreed), the original daily rental rate may be subject to change.
- Monthly Rental Notice: Cancellation/termination of monthly rentals requires a 7-day prior notice.
- Changes by Company: Jinnah Rent a Car reserves the right to change the proposed vehicle or driver without prior notice and to send an alternate in case of technical issues or behavioral concerns.
- Backup Vehicles: The company is not bound to provide backup vehicles in case of mechanical failure, accidents, or driver unavailability.
5. Safety, Damages & Prohibitions:
- Luggage: Our drivers are not permitted to carry/handle goods or luggage other than loading and unloading. Please ensure all luggage/goods are loaded/unloaded in your presence to prevent theft or misplacement.
- Damages: Jinnah Rent a Car shall not be responsible for any damages resulting from misunderstanding, miscommunication, vehicle problems, driver issues, etc., whatsoever.
- Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly not permitted in any Jinnah Rent a Car vehicle. To maintain a smoke-free fleet, a fee of Rs.1000 may be charged to customers found smoking inside a vehicle to cover extensive cleaning expenses.
- Prohibited Items/Activities: Carrying smuggled items, weapons, drugs, alcohol, or similar substances is strictly prohibited. Service may be refused to any individual who is intoxicated or appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Customer Liability: Jinnah Rent a Car shall not be responsible if the vehicle is used in dangerous areas or for any illegal activity. All security and legal matters regarding the car’s and driver’s safety shall be the customer’s sole responsibility. In case of any problems, the customer shall be bound to handle and clear such issues at their own cost.
6. General Terms:
- Modification of Agreement: Jinnah Rent a Car reserves the right to accept or decline your booking at any time after receipt/confirmation. Prices of all services are subject to change without prior notice. The company shall not be liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.
- Contact: For reservations and inquiries, always contact Jinnah Rent a Car directly. Do not call or deal with drivers for bookings.
- Governing Law: This rental agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
- Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the entire agreement between Jinnah Rent a Car and the customer, superseding all prior understandings.
- Waiver: Any waiver of a breach by Jinnah Rent a Car shall not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach.
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Assignment: The customer cannot assign this agreement without Jinnah Rent a Car’s written consent.
- Notices: All notices must be in writing and delivered personally or by registered mail to the addresses provided.
- Force Majeure: Jinnah Rent a Car is not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., acts of God, war, strikes).
- Insurance: Jinnah Rent a Car provides legally required insurance for the vehicle, but it does not cover personal injury or third-party property damage caused by the customer. Customers are advised to obtain additional personal insurance.
- Termination: Jinnah Rent a Car may terminate this agreement if the customer breaches any provision, requiring immediate return of the vehicle.
- Indemnification: The customer agrees to indemnify Jinnah Rent a Car against claims, damages, and costs arising from their use of the rented vehicle.
- Acknowledgment: The customer acknowledges reviewing, understanding, and agreeing to these terms.
- Electronic Signatures: Electronic signatures hold the same validity as original signatures.
- Reservation of Right to Refuse: Jinnah Rent a Car reserves the right to refuse service to any unsuitable person.
- Personal Information: Personal information is used solely for renting the vehicle and not disclosed without consent. Our privacy policy is available on the website.
- Dispute Resolution: Disputes will be resolved through arbitration according to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry rules.
- No Agency: This agreement does not create an agency, partnership, or joint venture.
- Third-Party Beneficiaries: This agreement has no third-party beneficiaries.
- Authority to Sign: The customer confirms they have the authority to enter this agreement.
- Electronic Communications: Electronic communications between parties are valid.
7. Driver Responsibilities & Duties (For Chauffeur-Driven Service):
- Ensure safe driving practices.
- Adhere to all safety standards.
- Open vehicle doors for passengers.
- Load and unload baggage responsibly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Perform daily safety checks each morning.
- Assist in collecting payments where applicable.
- Follow schedules in a timely manner.
8. No Smoking Policy (Detailed):
At Jinnah Rent a Car, we are committed to providing a clean and fresh-smelling environment. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles, regardless of the presence of any sticker. We strive to maintain a Smoke-Free Fleet for the comfort and health of all our customers. De-smoking a vehicle requires it to be out of service for up to 24 hours to properly remove unwanted odors through chemical treatment.
A fee of Rs.1000 will be charged to customers smoking inside a vehicle to cover these extensive cleaning expenses.
